Unit X- Group Workshops (3 of 6)

(3 of 6 Unit X Posts)

Group Workshops:

As a group we decided to plan workshops where we all taught each other what craft/technique we have chosen to explore in this unit. We did this because it was a chance for us all to work together as a group and see the potential/limitations of each craft. From doing these workshops we were able to combine our techniques together to create interesting pieces of work. We each brought materials to each workshop in order to develop our work and to experiment with how these materials worked together. I found that as a group we found these workshops extremely helpful in order for us to work as a group and develop our samples together. These workshops allowed us to create a lot of experimentations and gave us a lot of enthusiasm to work more as a group and swap work within the group.

Brandan Dawes' Workshop:

I attended the Brendan Dawes workshop then fed back to the group. We looked at how coding works and learnt how to put it into action to produce outcomes. These are some of the codings we learnt, along with the final 3D printed outcome. I have had the final 3D print printed because I think this will be a good input in our group work as the shape links to the twirled shapes of architecture.
